Atlassian is investing heavily in Atlassian Cloud. They promise that it will be the best Atlassian experience for all teams. Today over 90% of Atlassian’s customers land on Cloud, gaining access to the latest innovations, continuous delivery of new features, and a growing marketplace of apps.
Moving to the Cloud makes sense for most businesses who wish to reduce the cost, complexity, and risk of ownership while paying an affordable and predictable monthly or annual fee. If you’re not already in the Cloud, we can help you get there!
So, what are your Cloud choices?
Having announced end of sale for Atlassian Server products, it’s now more important than ever to evaluate your options if you currently self-host.
- On February 02 2021, it will no longer be possible to purchase new server products. Atlassian will also implement price increases (approximately 15%) for server renewals and upgrades.
- On February 02 2022, it will no longer be possible to upgrade or downgrade server user tiers.
- On February 02 2023, it will no longer be possible to purchase new apps for existing server products.
- On February 02 2024, support will end for all server products. This means that support and bug fixes will no longer be available from this date forwards.
There is plenty of time to take stock, review your options, and decide on a future route. The Atlassian Migration Program (AMP) provides you with step-by-step guides, free migration tools, a dedicated migration support team, and a free cloud migration trial for the length of your remaining server maintenance up to 12 months.
